"I just moved here and having a brother-in-law that attended the easter egg hunt for a couple years i suggested that we go to the fishing derby. it was a decision i don't regret. it was so great to see all the care and thought that was put into each childs needs and to make it easy for a family to go to. I have told my wife that from now on all i want for fathers day is to go there and help out. thank you to all the MCCDCT people that put such a great event together."

"This event was actually a xmas party at the sheriffs office . my 5 year old has a developmental disability with her speech and also is in occupational therapy.hailee also is hyposensitive which means she sometimes needs to get her system going (jumping on a trampoline,,, bouncing on a ball, swinging etc.Our other girl is 7 years old and is as smart as ever. sometimesthey get alongso well and other times it is totally nuts.but since we have been to the xmas party and the easter egg hunt and have also registrated for the fishing derby i can honestly say ourfamily looks forward to each event as the time comes around.These different events make us feel good as a family and seeing our kids faces so happy and excited not to menction all the other kids having a great time.thank you everybody who puts in"

"Thank you for the wonderful Prom on Friday April 2oth 2007. My daughter,Melissa, Had the time of her life. It was so great to see her be so happy. The students from Wilson High School did a great job of getting the special needs kids up to dance. They also did a great job of complimenting the kids and dancing with them. My daughter was still beaming the next day. She is also already talking about next years Prom. Thanks again for having this wonderful event. "

"Thank you again for a wonderful day at Hagg Lake. We left Salem with the windshield wipers going and our winter coats in the trunk, just in case, determined not to miss one of the most fun activities of the year. What a fun day! The kids love the boats and some even love the fishing. The food is guaranteed to satisfy every taste. The motorcycles are a BIG hit. The clowns, face painter, the pictures, the beautiful lake, everything, but I think what makes it such a success is all of the volunteers, especially the young kids (young men & women?). The girls fitting the life vests were very thorough and pleasant. They made getting a life vest fun. The girls checking in the kids were welcoming and friendly. The girls making the floats joked with the kids. The young men were willing to talk to and help the kids. Thanks again for a wonderful day! "

"I wanted to again say thank you for the fun day our family had at the lake. It was so special to see a smile on Joshua's face when he caught a fish. The Multnomah County Corrections Deputies Charitable Trust gave our family a little bit of sunshine in the often very dark battle with cancer. Thank you and all the loving volunteers that help make the time at Hage Lake so much fun. Joshua had just finished a round of chemo and we were amazed at how well he did. Several days later we ended up back at Emanuel for a blood transfusion and then were readmitted with a fever. I am so glad we were able to make it! Thanks again. You certainly made our day. "My son just loves this event. I am so happy that we found out about MCCDCT! Evan can go at his own pace and not have to worry about other kids or parents knocking him down or taking all the eggs. Evan is happy with all the fun and his bounty, even if it is just a few eggs. He enjoys the relaxed enviroment and so do we.
